Serving our community

South Point Church has a passion to address non-believers with intelligence, warmth, and respect in every part of our ministry. We will strive to be creatively evangelistic in every dimension. We must always remember what it is like not to believe. We strive to practice all aspects of our ministry "before the nations," expecting to be overheard. We will not privatize our faith but help Christians work with excellence and kingdom distinctiveness that engages the culture. We encourage Christians to engage our culture and not to retreat from it or simply create an alternative Christian subculture. We desire to engage our culture not just with what we say but also with what we do, therefore we will serve our community and join hand with ministries with this purpose (Pregnancy Resource Center, Helping In His Name Food Pantry, Feed My People, ...).

South Point Church is committed to ministering to anyone interested in knowing more about Christ, no matter where they are in their spiritual journey - those who are convinced, those who are perplexed, or those who are skeptical. We welcome the questions, objections, and problems of thoughtful people, and are committed to responding with honesty and intelligence, not hostility or condescension. We accomplish this through worship services designed to both build up believers and challenge and help the spiritually uncommitted; through in-depth teaching so that the deepest questions of faith and life are asked and answered with all the fullness of the historic Christian faith; and by being a welcoming community, so that newcomers can personally see and process the reality of Christ among us. But, most importantly, we keep an outward face and a focus on ministering to the needs of the people of Henry County.
